No single individual has impacted the residential service contracting business as much as Ron Smith. Through his decades long career he has done it all. He built one of the country's largest residential contracting businesses from the ground up and sold it. He invented the service agreement. He was the first person to hire retail salespeople in the HVAC industry, one of whom became the industry's first million dollar salesperson, selling one system at a time during the 1980s.

Ron started HVAC's first national franchise organization. He served as COO for a major consolidator and helped usher its sale. He trained thousands of contractors on dominant marketing strategies. Ron's book, HVAC Spells Wealth is the seminal book on running a modern contracting business.
